There are some new faces at Hotel Washington and some returning staff that stay behind the scenes, so we thought it was time everyone made an appearance here on the blog. In our first installment of our Who’s Who of 2018, we will get to know just three of the people that keep things up and going at Hotel Washington
This is his third season at Hotel Washington and this year he’s turned to the brick oven and the farm for inspiration.
Every week he delivers new dinner specials based on what’s in season, creating delicious appetizers, pizzas, and entrees.
Ever wonder who’s behind those sweet tasting fresh veggies served on pizzas, salads, and with entrees? Why it’s Russell Rolffs! When he’s not harvesting the sweetest tomatoes and crispiest lettuce for us at @hootblossomfarm, you may find him working in the vineyard at Gathering Ground. In the picture here, he’s teaching a class of 7th graders about how grapes grow. And when he’s not there, he may be winning at a game of kubb on the front lawn of Hotel Washington. Want to play?
This is Shawn Murray, one of the newest team members at Hotel Washington! When she’s not keeping our historic hotel spic and span you might find tending her goats and chickens at Folk Tree Farm or enjoying the vistas at Sand Dunes Beach.
